Trained as a painter and a printmaker,
fine artist Christy Mitchell has focused on
developing monotypes, which combine
traditional brush painting with a print process
producing only one image, hence the name,
monotype.
Christy Mitchell's work is diverse in subject
matter, yet always follows her interest in
landscapes and the luscious fruits of the earth.
The unique monotype technique that combines luscious painterly
qualities with rich colour and texture, is the
trademark of Christy Mitchell's work.
