Trained as a painter and a printmaker, fine artist Christy Mitchell has focused on developing monotypes, which combine traditional brush painting with a print process producing only one image, hence the name, monotype.

Christy Mitchell's work is diverse in subject matter, yet always follows her interest in landscapes and the luscious fruits of the earth.

The unique monotype technique that combines strong painterly qualities with rich colour and texture, is the trademark of Christy Mitchell's work.

What's New

Larger Monotypes are now available!

Christy has developed a process by which she can make her monotypes larger.  Her sizes have been limited in the past due to the limitations of paper size.  However, now you can acquire a Landlines piece where the image will be as large as 27" X 46".  When these are framed it will make a substantial statement on your wall as they may be framed to finish at 36" x 55".
